This is a great Izakaya which has fantastic views overlooking Odori Park. If you do want the perfect window seat, then it’s best to make a reservation prior. Aburiya is located in the Hokuyo Bank building on the 4th floor. This izakaya excels in seafood plus they also have meat dishes as well such as succulent lamb chops. There are a variety of sushi dishes and sashimi dishes, salads, fish, steaks and much much more. You can order all these dishes individually and for such a nice izakaya in such a prime position, the prices are really reasonable. The staff are friendly and it’s a great dining experience. Highly recommended especially during the Snow Festival! For drinks, they have some great sake here and wine that compliments the food very well. This is an absolutely fantastic spot for views and local cuisine. Enjoy!
