Dai Tonpaku, which literally translates to 'Big White Pig', is a small restaurant in the food arcade 'Hug'. Hug can be found on the fifth block of the Tanuki Koji shopping street. It is one of about half a dozen restaurants in Hug.

Cafe de Crie has a chain of coffee shops all over Japan. In Hokkaido, they have three locations, all in Sapporo. These coffee shops have a good menu and nice, comfortable settings. These coffee shops are very affordable and you can find a good range of coffees and teas.

If you ask anyone what the most famous restaurant in Hakodate is, you more than likely to hear "Lucky Pierrot" as the answer. You can find Lucky Pierrot restaurants only in Hakodate and nowhere else in Japan. The Lucky Pierrot company was founded in 1987, and there are seventeen restaurants in the Hakodate municipality.

On the drive from Sapporo to Hirafu, Rusutsu and Toya, there is a rest stop at the top of Nakayama Pass. Route Nine Hamburger is an American style hamburger restaurant located in Sapporo near the city center. This burger joint is a throwback to those old 60's diners. Counter seating, booths, and a checkered floor. It is full of Americana, which adds to the atmosphere

Keyaki is a ramen shop with its main store in central Sapporo in Susukino. Its two other stores can be found at the New Chitose Airport.  One is at the international terminal, located at the Hokkaido Ramen Dojo. The other being in the domestic terminal.
