During the day, Niseko is a winter wonderland for snowboarders and skiers. During the winter evenings, it’s a great spot to unwind and share a drink with friends and family. Mick’s Bar is a popular bar and one of the bars running through the Niseko circuit. Mick’s bar mainly excels in wine, but they also serve up craft beers, whiskey, sake, and if you are looking for something to nibble on, they have delicious cheeses and cured meats. You can order by the bottle, by the glass, and these wines are also available on order. The friendly owner, Mick, knows his stock and is happy to assist!

The large selection of Mick’s wines come from around the globe, including Australia, New Zealand, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain and another half a dozen more countries. Wines start out at ¥2500 a bottle. After a cold winter day, there are also bottles of sake to warm you up. And of course, what goes better with wine, but with a delicious assortment of cheeses. You can savor a Shiawase Hard Cheddar, Takara Smoked Eden, or a Takara Ash Rolled Cheese, just to name a few. The cheese plate here is highly recommended! Mick’s is a great choice for couples, or for small groups.
