With around ninety stores throughout Hokkaido, and employing over a thousand people, they are one of the main supermarket chains on the island. the stores are generally the same across the board, opening from around 7:00 to 8:00 and close at 21:00 or 22:00 at the earliest. Some grocery shopping

These supermarkets are mostly set out the same. You can find an ATM at the entrance to the stores, which is convenient for its customers. They also have parking, wheelchair access (barrier free), delivery service, and a rechargeable smart card called ‘Waon’. The ‘Waon’ card is a Japanese electronic money system introduced by the Aeon company in April 2007. Cashiers will always ask if you have a points card when making your payment. Also, you will need to ask the cashier for a plastic bag (if you have no bag) at the cost of an extra ¥1 or ¥2.
