This is a cozy little wine bar on the street side of Sapporo. There is only seating for about eight people so this bar suitable for very small groups. It is run by a friendly local who has a nice listing of wines to enjoy. These wines aren’t cheap and patrons are looking at around ¥1200 to ¥2500 a glass. There is also a sit down charge as well. The bar is an open space that faces the street so it’s good for people watching. During the winter it has a plastic covering so you can keep fairly warm. The food dishes that are on the menu include rather large oysters, french fries and other small dishes. The liver pate with bread is very good here and goes well with the wine which is also very good! the menu is only in Japanese but this a nice spot to visit, especially if you like wine.

This bar is one of the many small bars that can be found scattered throughout Susukino, Sapporo. The bar is made up of a small seating area that can be turned into a very small event space, and a bright red counter top for the punters. It is a late night bar and hold live DJ events. Bar Honey Bunny doesn’t have a website so to find out when these events are, you will have to check them on social media. The ‘darts’ part of this bar is made up of one electronic darts board to the side of the bar. The sign out the front, “Our house wine is Jägermeister” sums up this bar perfectly. It’s kind of a random place that sees a lot of characters come through its doors. Jägermeister seems to be the shot of choice if you are thinking of doing shots (especially with the friendly bar owner).

This bar is open until late and a lot of the revelers are locals who usually pop in after they finish work. There is a strong anime theme throughout this bar, especially with the drinks and dolls spread out over the counter. Card isn’t accepted here so make sure to bring cash. Honey Bunny is a hit and miss bar depending on the nights but it’s definitely an interesting spot to check out!
