NAC Niseko Adventure is a hugely popular outdoor adventure company. Their main building can be found in the centre of Niseko and it is here where you can find JoJo’s. JoJo’s is a restaurant and coffee shop that is a great place to sit down and enjoy a lunch, or dinner, with friends and family after a days activities whether it be summer or winter. On the menu they have some truly juicy hamburgers. They have an original, bacon & cheese, or a salsa burger to wrap your teeth around! They also have a taco & rice to try.

Of course, if you just want to relax, then take a seat and enjoy the coffees and teas. During the warmer months they have outside seating where you can take in the surrounding views. If you are in a group, JoJo’s has a course meals that are perfect for parties and gatherings (reservations required). These group plans include a seasonal course menu, a buffet style, an outdoor BBQ (from June to September 15), or an all you can drink plan that has beers and cocktails. If you have kids, they can enjoy the jungle gym, plus there is rock climbing and bouldering to try!

Lake Toya is a beautiful lake which is a two hour drive south of Sapporo. This scenic area has plenty of camp grounds and hotels. On the northern side of the lake, you can find a great coffee shop which is perfect for a lunch or early dinner. The cafe is across from the Tourist Information Centre, and is also a small walk from the Ko Park Camping Ground making it a popular spot for campers as well as those stopping in for a bite, or a nice cup of coffee. During the warmer season, Cafe Lake Toya has outside seating so you can enjoy scenery.

The lunch menu, which runs until three thirty in the afternoon, has a nice selection of delicious dishes. On the menu, you can find a beef on rice dish, a tandoori chicken, a beans keema curry, or a vegetarian galette with local vegetables, to name a few. You can enjoy these dishes in homely surroundings and for and extra ¥200 you can get the drink set menu. If you are looking for something small to go with your tea or coffee, Cafe Lake Toya makes some delicious pastries that you can buy at the counter. This cafe is a great spot for lunch with friendly staff!

Choose a slice with your coffee

On the 6th floor of Stellar Place, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Located in the middle is the ‘La Maison Ensoleille Table’. It is a western style restaurant that not only serves up lunches and dinners, but it has an extensive collection of cakes and pastries that will go well with the teas and coffees that are also on the menu. The cakes are splendidly laid out at the front of the restaurants entrance. They also have a seasonal food and drink menu to enjoy as well.

Eggs benedict with ham & salmon

The menu has a few pasta dishes with some great sauces, risottos, and some oven dishes such as an oven baked beef stroganoff or the stewed mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce with hamburger. La Maison Ensoleille Table is also one of the few places that serves up an eggs benedict with salmon (which technically makes it an ‘egg royale’). The desserts here are fantastic such as the french toast caramel apple pie. You can enjoy these desserts with a selection of herbal teas, coffees and other beverages.

8 Dining Cafe is a Western style restaurant based in the entertainment district of Sapporo. The menu is expansive and the food is great, and at a reasonable price! It is a popular spot for groups and couples alike. Tables for groups of ten to thirty can be reserved. For reservations simply check the website on the link. At this restaurant there is an all you can drink option as well as a set course plan! The set course meals change with seasonal ingredients. These are a good option for parties and groups.

The menu has plenty to choose from, from finger food to large meals. For small entrées, they have toro salmon and avocado carpaccio, pickled vegetables, a nice selection of salads, and a fantastic cheese and dried fruit platter. For meat, they have some great dishes. Beef fillet steak and foie gras, duck in orange sauce, or spicy fried chicken. And of course, they have seafood, pastas and pizzas to go around. Also check out the dessert menu as well! Front entrance

Inzone Table is a fantastic cafe/restaurant located in the Maruyama area of Sapporo. It is part of a furniture chain in Sapporo, under the same name. While sitting in the comfortable surroundings, you can enjoy some great food and drink for a satisfying lunch! The two story restaurant can get busy, and it is recommended to call ahead to reserve a table. The tables are good not only for couples, but for large groups! The colorful menu consists of mainly stove cooked cuisine using seasonal ingredients. Accompanied with craft beer and a variety of wines makes for a good choice when eating out.

Spaghetti and crab

The menu has around ten delicious choices of Western fare. They have a skillet hot pot hamburg steak with cheese, spaghetti with crab, seafood, grilled Shiraoi steak, and a simmered chicken with tomato. The set menu comes with a delicious appetizer with rice or bread. The appetizer being a small serving of salad, a pumpkin soup, a potato salad and smoked ham. Spicy chicken wings

Beer Bar Basil Basil is a popular bar to grab some good food, and some good beer, and have a night out with some friends. It is located on the southern end of Susukino, the night life district of Sapporo. It is not on the main street but one block across from the main drag. Opening in 1999, Basil Basil focuses its menu on a good selection of Japanese beers plus some European ales. To go with the beer, there is a good selection of bar food that will please any customer!

Salad

The beer menu has Sapporo Classic, a nice Yebisu on tap, a Yebisu black stout, Edelpils (a German Pilsener style beer) plus some foreign beers. These include Hoegaarden, a bass pale ale, and a Guinness. The food menu has plenty of dishes to match the beer, such as pizza, spicy chicken, sausages, oysters and shrimp, tortillas and beans, pastrami and sauerkraut. For those looking for group specials, Beer Bar Basil Basil has party plans. Six dishes plus an all you can drink for an hour and a half plan, will put you back at ¥3800 per person. An all you can drink plan, for an hour and a half will cost ¥2800 per person. You can reserve tables for 10-14 people, 20-26 people, or you can hire the whole 40 seats including the counter area!
