Tamago to Watashi is an omelette and rice restaurant. The name ‘Tamago to Watashi’ literally translates to “Egg and Me”. It is one of a dozen restaurants that can be found in the Apia food walkway. This restaurant is part of a chain of omelette and rice restaurants that can be found throughout Japan. There is only one ‘Tamago to Watashi’ in Hokkaido, that being in Sapporo! The store has friendly staff, and being near Sapporo station (with many tourists coming through), the staff have English ability.
The omelette and rice dish is better known as ‘omurice’ and is a popular favorite for the locals, especially for kids. The typical Omurice consists of fried rice in a layer of fried scramble eggs, usually topped with ketchup. At ‘Tamago to Watashi’ they have many omurice dishes. These come in a variety of dishes that include gravy, meat, cheese, and vegetables to name a few. The softness of the omelette is what makes these dishes so good, and are a great option for those looking for lunch or dinner.
