The Kushiro Shitsugen National park (better known as the Kushiro Marshland) is a national park, located to the north of Kushiro on the eastern side of Hokkaido. The park is known for its wetlands ecosystems. 'Shitsugen' translates to wetlands in English. It was designated as a national park on 31 July 1987. Perched at the top of a large hill, overlooking Kushiro Marsh, you can find the Kushiro Marsh Observatory. This is one of the most interesting buildings in Hokkaido. Ginza Lion is a well known national chain of restaurants, who also a have a couple of restaurants overseas. Ginza Lion is a western style restaurant with a German / beer hall theme. There are four restaurants in the downtown Sapporo city area. In other locations around Hokkaido, one is located at Sapporo Dome , one is at Chitose airport, and one more is by Asahiyama zoo. The Ginza Lion menu is huge, with anything and everything available to order. Steaks, chicken, salads, pastas, pizzas, seafood, soups, curries, and sandwiches, it’s all there! In keeping with a Euopean flair, there is a large selection of meats and sausages. There are German plates of potatoes, sausages, and liver pâté, plus a fine selection of ales and beers.
