Vegetable tempura
Tempura is a delicious Japanese dish usually consisting of seafood or vegetables that have been battered and deep fried. The menu is in English and it has some explanations on what garnish is best with the tempura. There are two dipping sauces to choose from, being either a soy sauce with sugar, or a soy sauce with salt. These sauces are recommended for the vegetable tempura. For the fish and shrimp tempura, salt is recommended as a garnish. After ordering your meal, the tempura dishes are made in front of the customers at a large counter. For drinks, tea is offered free of charge, and on the menu, you can order juices or alcohol, including sake.

Tartar Hamburg is a delicious restaurant located in the shopping area of Paseo West. It is part of the huge dining area that holds a variety of different restaurants and foods. Underground dining
Meer Lounge is a cool and trendy spot in the busy shopping arcade of Tanuki-koji. Located underground in a cave like setting, it’s a large restaurant that is popular for couples, small groups and parties. Yoshoku Keniya is a homely restaurant located in Noboribetsu, and is a six minute drive from the Noboribetsu Onsen area. It is especially nice during the cherry blossom season at the beginning of May, as the restaurant is on the road leading from the Noboribetsu Higashi Interchange also known as the ‘Flower Tunnel’ during the cherry blossom season. With thousands of cherry blossom trees along the road, Yoshoku Keniya is a good place for a spot of lunch. There is parking available.

Kyushu Tavern Fuuri is a Japanese style izakaya located in Paseo dining area, Sapporo. They have a good selection of Japanese dishes whether it be for single meals or for large parties. Side dish of cold soba noodles
Fukuzumi is a soba restaurant that is set out in a traditional Japanese setting. Soba is a traditional thin buckwheat noodle served either hot or cold. Fukuzumi serves up some delicious Japanese dishes with soba noodles as a set dish. The menu comes in Japanese with pictures, as well as an English menu that has information about Soba noodles.
