This is a great Mexican restaurant in central Sapporo. The food here although in small servings is full of flavor and spices. The tequila here is absolutely fantastic. There are many authentic Mexican tequilas to choose from such as Los Azuleios, Don Jurio, or Herradura. They also have a tequila made in Japan, ‘Cascahuin’, which is worth a try. The price ranges from ¥700 to ¥1500 per glass. For those who enjoy their tequila, then El Tope is definitely a must visit while in Sapporo.
There are also around a dozen Mexican and Peruvian beers that can be drunk here. Of course, there is Corona but why not broaden your horizons and try some of the others such as ‘Di of the Dead’, or ‘Sol’. The food here is equally good. They have all for your favorites such as nachos, quesadillas, chile con carne, plus many more. These dishes have their own unique twist to them from El Tope. For parties, there is appropriate is seating fro groups (reservation required), and they have set courses including booze to order. El Tope is one of the best Mexican restaurants around Sapporo!

Located in Paseo Dining on the B1 floor, Mexican Dish Sombrero Mexicano is a nice little Mexican restaurant that is especially good for lunch during a busy day shopping. This is only one of a couple of Mexican restaurants through out Sapporo, if you are so inclined for some Mexican cuisine. This restaurant serves up, as you would expect, a selection of tacos, burritos, fajitas, spicy chili beans and enchiladas (which are particularly good). Fries, salads, and wrap rolls are also on the menu. The spiciness level is represented by a chili icon. Sombrero Mexicano also has a selection of Mexican beers you can enjoy with your meal. Of course, the obligatory Corona beer, plus Tecate beer, Sol, and a good Negra Modelo dark beer. The restaurant is nicely decked out with Mexican ornaments, and with the food, makes for a nice meal out!
