Marman is a unique Irish bar that can be found in central Susukino, which is the entertainment district of Sapporo. Marman serves not only as a bar, but also as a restaurant that operates as a place to get not only dinner, but breakfast! The interior is nicely decked out with TV’s for sports lovers. There is plenty of seating, with couches and bar seating. The bar is connected to the first floor of the Centurion Hotel Sapporo. Because of this, breakfast is served at the bar for hungry guests. It’s also a good spot to get a drink from their extensive menu.
As you can expect, Marman has a nice Guinness on tap plus the more local beers. Their whiskey menu sports a selection of whiskeys from Scotland, Islay and Ireland. These whiskeys go for around ¥1000 a glass and include a twelve year Macallan, Glenlivet, Johnny Walker blue, a ten year old Laphroaig, and a Connemara single malt to name a few. There are also nice whiskeys from Japan, Canada and the U.S. Soft drinks and cognac are also available. If you are looking for some hearty pub meals, Marman has burgers, steaks, pastas, fish & chips and stews, to please any hungry customer!

If you are looking for a night out in Sapporo, put Booty on the list. With the music and drinks flowing, Booty Discotheque & Lounge is a great club that has been going since 2002. Over its colorful history, it’s been a local favorite by expats, Japanese and tourists alike! The club is run by a fantastic husband & wife team. One being a local expat, cognac connoisseur and international DJ. The other half of the duo who is busy around the bar, being from Sapporo. They have put together a top spot made up of two levels, plus a beer garden out the back which is perfect during the summer. The whole space is available to rent on weekdays at ¥25,000 per floor, per night. The ground floor has a bar area, DJ booth and dance floor (which gets busy by midnight) and small lounge area. The next floor up has a bar, DJ booth, and a large comfortable lounge area where you can sit back and relax with friends.

It is also here on the second floor, they have a small dining area. Booty serves up some of the best hamburgers you will find anywhere in Hokkaido! We challenge you to find better! Among the dishes and desserts, the menu has five mouth watering burgers that are served with fries and olives. Each burger is made to perfection in front of you using local Hokkaido beef. And while you’re here, try some of the wine or sake on the menu. The great thing about this club (which you won’t find anywhere else) is that it’s free to get in! It’s easy to drop in, buy a drink from the super friendly staff, and enjoy well mixed tunes from the in house DJ’s!

The food here is simply delicious and cheap. Recommended is the cheeseburgers, fish & chips, nachos, and especially the bear foot fries! These are the perfect compliment to go with your drinks. The bottom floor has a large counter with the bar, five large tables, and large screen TVs showing sporting events around the world. And unique to japan, this bar is non smoking. If you do want to smoke, there is a spot just outside the front doors. The top floor has more seating, restrooms and TVs. Happy hour is from 6 till 7. Definitely a great bar to check out!

Welcome!
The Brick Bar is a cool bar located on Sakura-Zaka street, in the heart of Niseko. It is just a two minute walk down from the main street and can be found among the many hostels found in that area. The inside was designed by the Niseko Photography & Guiding team, which is a local business situated under the Brick Bar, on the ground floor. The illustrations are by French artist, Primat. It is here, in these great surroundings, that you can enjoy a beer, a fine wine, or a delicious cocktail. All served by the friendly and helpful staff.

The selection of wines, both red & white, range from ¥600 to ¥1100 a glass, and for a bottle, ¥2400 to ¥4500. If you are looking for something a little more celebratory, then the Brick Bar also has Prosecco, Brut, and Moet & Chandon champagnes. For a slightly stronger drink, look no further than the cocktail menu. Here, you can find some fantastic cocktails, some with a Japanese twist to them, which are a must try! Sapporo Classic is on tap, plus there are some Japanese bottled ales to swig on after a day on the slopes. Of course, don’t forget ‘Happy Hour’ has ¥400 beer and shots! Whenever a band has a gig at Studio 810, Bar Stingray will live feed it on their screens in the bar area, so you can enjoy a drink and get an idea of which band is playing downstairs. When it comes to the beer menu, they have Sapporo and Carlsberg on tap. Bottled beers include Budweiser, Corona, Heineken, Suntory, and Asahi. They also have Japanese sakes from around Japan, such as Lotus and Mitake to enjoy, plus wines and spirits. The food menu includes usual bar fare, including hamburgers, spicy tacos, and duck pastrami. There is a party plan, and Bar Stingray can be rented out for group parties.

Beer flowing and BBQ sizzling
The final day sees a fitting end to the festival with portable shrines (Mikoshi) being carried down the main street by hundreds of locals. The traditional music and the chanting is a true spectacle and is a great opportunity to get some great photos. While all this is going on, the local bars and restaurants open up stall on the side streets. It is here you can enjoy some beer and some grilled food cooked up by the local owners. It does get crowded here and along the main street, so an early start is advised!
