The menu at Thai’s has a selection of soups, meats, and noodles that all come with a side dish of rice. There is a lunch set menu as well as a dinner set menu. Spice levels are all indicated on the menu with the number of chili peppers marked underneath each dish. Of course, if you prefer a lower level of spice then you can ask the friendly staff. Thai beers are also available to go with your meal. Thai desserts include deep fried banana with ice cream which is a must! From 17:00, Thai’s becomes a smoking establishment. If the smoke from other customers bothers you, inform the staff so they can accommodate you.

Counter seating
Cafe & Dining Shelf is a western style restaurant that can be found in the Sapporo Parco department store on the 8th floor. The dining floor in Parco has 8 restaurants and the ‘Shelf’ restaurant can be found directly in the centre. It’s a large open restaurant surrounded by (as the name may suggest) shelves full of books and artifacts. There is a bar area, and tables set up for up to groups of 4. The menu has a set lunch & dinner menu that comes with a salad and drink. The plate (main) menu has options of chicken or beef paddy sets, that comes with vegetables, and a small salad. Good value for your money.

Cafe & Dining Shelf also has a curry set, and a salad menu. The kinds of salads include a teriyaki chicken salad, a 10 vegetable salad, and a delicious avocado & shrimp salad. The à la carte menu has french fries, spicy fried chicken, camembert cheese & potato fritters, smoked salmon, and pickles! If you still have room then the dessert menu won’t disappoint! Creamy cheese cake & blueberry cake, classic gâteau au chocolat, and rich crema catalana in a caramel sauce are deliciously pictured for your choosing. Freshness Burger is a nation wide chain of burger restaurants that were first opened in 1992. There are 3 stores in the Sapporo area, and there is 1 in Chitose. The stores in Hokkaido use local ingredients, and the hamburger patties are an original recipe. Take your selection from the Japanese or English menu of burgers, such as the classic cheese burger, avocado burger, egg & bacon burger, chicken burger, or the bacon & omelette burger! The set menus come with a side order and a drink of your choosing.

Spice world rack
Freshness burger side orders include Hokkaido french fries, onion rings, chicken nuggets, and fried chicken, plus hot dogs as well. There is a morning set menu which includes Freshness Burgers original blend of Brazilian coffee. There are extra toppings for your burger, and there is also the ‘Spice World’ counter. The spice rack is made up of spices and sauces from all around the world to give your burger some extra zest. Yoshimi Kitchen is a western style restaurant situated in Parco Department store. They offer a lunch menu and a dinner menu. Yoshimi is best known for its lunch and dinner set menus of mainly hamburg steak dishes with a side dish of salads, soups, and curries. The hamburg steaks come with a variety of sauces, such as curry, soy, or cheese sauces. These sauces can be mopped up with the breads that are available on the menu. They not only have hamburg steaks, but they have pastas, and a large selection of salads.

The set menus and dinner menus are a good value for your money. After your meal, there is the dessert menu which Yoshimi Kitchen is also well known. The selection of mouth watering desserts and sweets, has ice cream, pancakes in cream, and cakes. The photos on the menu (which comes in English) speak for themselves. Soft drinks, beers, and coffee can be ordered here as well. The tables come with compartments in which to put your bags, with seating for 50. There is also a separate space with large tables for big groups that can be reserved.

Beef in black bean sauce
Kouka is a delicious Chinese restaurant based in Kutchan. There are many kinds of dishes available that are served individually. Bowls are provided so guests can share these meals with each other so you can taste as much as possible! Seafood, beef, pork and chicken are all served. Dumplings, noodles, fried and plain rice are also on the menu. There is a lunch time and a dinner time set menu. The menu is in Japanese as well as English, and there are images provided so it’s easy to order! Soft drinks, beer, and spirits are on order, as well as an interesting Chinese sake which is served either hot or cold!

Fresh produce
Rusutsu is famous for its ski field, resort and the outlying farmlands. These farm lands produce a large variety of fresh and delicious vegetables. Rusutsu is especially famous for its daikon (radish), asparagus (green, white & purple), and potatoes. Fresh vegetables of the season are delivered directly to Farmers’ Market, making it a popular place to buy groceries for a cheap price! This supermarket is connected right next to Rusutsu Pizza Do, so it’s also a good spot to grab some lunch.

Flowers on sale
The selection is quite vast, and each product is brought in by individual farmers. Anything from celery to chili peppers, every product has a picture of the farmer and information about them. It would be hard to find a better bargain in Hokkaido than at Farmer’s Market. Prices for cabbages, pumpkins, onions can be as little as ￥100, so there are many bargains to be found. Not are there vegetables to be found, but there are soups, seasoning, an assortment of breads, and flowers.
