There are 11 stores in the Sapporo area. 1 restaurant in Asahikawa. 1 restaurant in Kushiro. Please see google maps below.

Dan Ryū Chinese is a chain of mandarin restaurants mainly in the city of Sapporo. They also have a restaurant in Asahikawa and Kushiro, one a piece. The company was first established in 2002 and since then, the company has grown not only in Hokkaido but have spread out to the main island of Honshu. These restaurants are popular (especially during lunch time) as they have large set meals. For the volume of food served, it is well worth the price.

The menu here has all the usual items that can be found in most Chinese restaurants. Sichuan Mapu Tofu, crab with fried rice, stir-fried pork & cabbage with miso, shrimp in chili sauce, Gomoku spring rolls, and dumplings,  to name just a few. The set meals come with rice, soup, and dumplings (the set meals differ depending on the day). The food here is good. For those wishing for a larger group or party, there are plans in place for that. These can include an all you can drink plan as well! Reservations and take out is available.

Bar Waduro is a high end cocktail bar. For those with a bit of money to sip on some professionally made drinks, Bar Waduro is in a convenient location. There are a huge amount of drinks to choose from and each the menu is organized into liquor bases. They have whiskey (both bourbon and scotch), vodka, tequila, gin, rum, and assorted shochu and sake. You can either enjoy a drink straight or on the rocks, or try one of the cocktails. These cocktails are superb and are worth the money. The menu however is only in Japanese so be best to have some kind of translating device or a translator.

When going here, be observant that the final bill may be more than expected. There is a sit down charge here (which comes with a small bowl of nuts), and that charge is ¥1000 per person. This is an expensive charge that is added onto any drink ordered. There are a few food items to nibble on and to add to the drinking experience. Overall, the drinks made here are second to none (the martini is particularly good), but the cost may put some revelers off. This bar is a suitable for a special occasion and sampling one or two different drinks before moving on elsewhere.

If you are around Odori Park taking in the sights and are looking for a place for lunch or dinner, then you can find some fantastic Asian cuisine at Asia-Tei Trang Tron. It is here you can find some of your favorite dishes from Asia, especially from the south east. They have some great Thai dishes such as Poo Pad Pong Garee (king crab curry), or Kai Yang (Thai Chicken Grill). Other dishes come from Vietnam, but what makes this restaurant so great is its Asian fusion. Tom Yum Kung with shrimp and Maitake mushrooms is a must try!

The interior is cozy and comfortable and the dishes are beautifully presented. And what better way to add to that fresh spring and summer food then with some cold imported beer. They have Singha (Thailand), Tiger (Singapore), Purpapar (Vietnam), or Pintan (Indonesia). For those in groups, they do have a party plan which includes a nomihodai (all you can drink) plan. There are two types of party plans. One party plan comes with a nomihodai and seven dishes for ¥5500 per person. The other has eight dishes and costs ¥6500 per person. There is some great food here with a  great fusion of Japanese and Southeast Asian cuisine!

There are very few Vietnamese restaurants in Sapporo, around half a dozen. Nhà Anh Vietnam Chilinh is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant that can be found on the very southern end of the Susukino district. The food here is fantastic and you can find some great Vietnamese dishes, all the while sipping down on some Vietnamese and other Southeast Asian beers. To get to the restaurant is relatively simple. Coming from the Suskino side, walk down the main street (eki mae dori) to the south, and take a left one block before reaching Nakajima Koen subway station.

So, what goodies do they have on their menu? For those who love Vietnamese food, they have same great items on their menu. To name just a few, summer spring rolls (gỏi cuốn), lemongrass steamed clams (Nghêu Hấp Sả), grilled chicken with lemon leaf (Gà Nướng Lá Chanh), or the Beef Pho (noodle soup). To see the rest, you will have to visit! They have some Vietnamese desserts as well to go at the end of your meal. This restaurant does have outside seating (reminiscent of seating in Vietnam), and is enjoyable in the summer months.

Cento Per Cento translates to 100% in Italian, and it is here you are definitely get all of your moneys worth. This is a hidden gem and is located on the second floor of Joyful AK. The food here is fantastic and at such an affordable price, it is definitely worth a visit if you are doing some shopping and feeling a little peckish. Joyful AK is a huge store that excels in building and construction goods and interior. The restaurant can be found up on the second floor and has plenty of seating for a busy shopping complex.

The menu here is great, in particular the lunch menu is a must. For such a decent price, you get some prosciutto and vegetables, then a delicious pizza base topped with ham, lettuce and drizzled in oil, and finally a pasta dish, with a coffee. All this for around ¥1000. Most of the food here is unbelievably under ¥1000. The sizes here also are perfect. You can find some great pizzas and pastas and desserts here. They also have a seasonal menu. Cento Per Cento is a must visit if you’re in the area!

Mamma Mia is a very popular restaurant and bar in Sapporo. Although the name suggests Italian, Mamma Mia is predominantly a Japanese seafood restaurant. It has three levels and it caters well especially for groups and large parties. They have private rooms here that can fit up to 36 people. They have party plans and that always popular ‘all you can drink’ (nomihodai) option. The food here is primarily Japanese seafood, grilled meat, and salads. As this restaurant is quite popular, it is recommended to make a reservation beforehand.

The party plan courses range from ¥7000 to ¥4000 per person which includes set dishes and the nomihodai. They have some delicious sashimi here, plus grilled eel, oysters, and a large quantity of grilled skewered meat (mainly chicken), and salads. The restaurant is well known also for its handmade tofu. The drink menu has Sapporo Classic on tap, cocktails, wines, authentic shochu, plum wine, and sake. For a good taste of predominantly Japanese seafood, Mamma Mia is good choice for a night out on the town. Suitable for couples, groups and large groups.
