The Kushiro Shitsugen National park (better known as the Kushiro Marshland) is a national park, located to the north of Kushiro on the eastern side of Hokkaido. The park is known for its wetlands ecosystems. 'Shitsugen' translates to wetlands in English. It was designated as a national park on 31 July 1987. Gomasoba Yakumo is a popular chain of soba noodle restaurants in Hokkaido. There are 6 locations in downtown Sapporo, with 3 more stores located in Shin-Sapporo, New Chitose Airport, and Kita-Hiroshima. The menus in each of these stores is pretty much the same. They have a large selection of dishes with soba noodles (thin buckwheat noodles). Soba noodles are served either chilled with a dipping sauce, or in hot broth as a noodle soup. Whether you like them hot or cold, there are over 40 different soba dishes to choose from!
