Pizzas to choose from
Majestic is an Italian restaurant, that can be found in the middle of Sapporo city, a couple of blocks from Odori Park. Located on the basement floor, Majestic serves as a restaurant both for lunch and dinner. Due to its dark and fancy interior, it also serves well as a bar, and is also a popular spot for parties, and wedding functions. Charming interior
Being an Italian style restaurant, Majestic has choices of pasta dishes, pizzas, as well as a sizable selection of antipasti. The menu comes only in Japanese, though the menu some pictures to help decide. The antipasti menu has around fifteen small dishes, such as anchovies and olives, salmon carpaccio, or a shrimp & Tokachi mushroom ‘ajillo’. The thin crust pizzas come in half or full sizes, and the various pastas come in cream or tomato based sauces. There is also a course option. The courses vary from size and cost, from ￥2000 to ￥7000. As Majestic is also a bar they have a great range of wines, beers, and spirits.

Views of the table seating
On the third floor of Maruyama Class, you can find some delicious restaurants. Bibi de Baru de Moon is an Italian restaurant serving up some delicious dishes. There is table dining as well as counter seating. At the counter, there are views of the open kitchen which is a nice touch. Watch as the pizzas are cooked to perfection in the wood fire stove. Baru de Moon is open for lunch, and for dinner, and after a good wander around the Maruyama area, this restaurant a good choice for either occasion.

Four cheeses pasta dish
Bibi de Baru de Moon has a lot to choose from in its menu. They have at least a dozen different pizzas to choose from. Their unique pizzas include traditional ingredients plus a variety of new ones. Take your pick of seafood, vegetables, and meat pizzas. As with the pizza dishes, there is a large selection of pasta dishes as well! Enjoy some tomato based, or cream based pastas such as the four cheese cream pasta which a delicious indulgence. There are also side dishes of sashimi, chicken, and salads. Looking for an Italian lunch or dinner, or even just a cup of coffee with a friend, Italian Bar Café Milano is a nice restaurant/café to visit. This restaurant opens early for a breakfast or coffee, where you can take a choice from three kinds of panini. There is a nice set menu for lunch. The set menu comes with a small salad, and a drink with your meal. For lunch there are six kinds of Japanese or Italian style spaghetti dishes.

Pleasant interior
Originating in Shibuya in 1976, Yomenya Goemon is a fusion of Italian and Japanese ingredients to create new, as well as traditional pasta dishes. With three locations around Sapporo, you can enjoy some delicious spaghetti dishes at these restaurants. And if you really enjoy the taste of Yomenya Goemon pastas, then you can also take it home! Sauces are available to order at the restaurant, or from their online shop through their website. On the menu, there are the traditional Italian pastas, plus new Japanese dishes such as the bamboo steak and broiled scallop with peperoncino, or the carbonara with cod roe and yuba.

Carbonara with camembert cheese
The Italian ingredients include olive oil from north and southern Italy. Palmigiano is the cheese of choice for Yomenya Goemon, as well as delicious Italian tomatoes that are used in their sauces. And in keeping with the Japanese fusion, the dishes that the meals are served on are made from traditional Arita-yaki (Japanese porcelain). This original pottery is smooth and painted with intricate patterns, to add to the Yomenya Goeman experience. The stylish Ebri Shopping Mall was opened in March 2016 and was reconstructed from an old brick factory. This small one floor building has a lot of character with its red brick, wrought iron and wooden veneer and reflects on the town of Ebetsu, which is famous for its brick making industry. The brick building is made entirely from 100% Ebetsu brick and contains a supermarket, a coffee and sweets shop, a local grocery and a delicious wood fire Italian restaurant. A lot of local produce from the surrounding areas are sold here!

Sweet potatoes
There are about a dozen shops in the building. There are some clothing stores but the main focus is on the local food grown in local areas. The supermarket there is a great place to buy some local fare. The space is very open and customers can walk around and poke their noses into the various kitchens of the sweet potato shop, coffee shop, and the Italian restaurant. At the coffee shop try the rich, delicious ‘Nopporo Coffee’ blend and purchase some packets to take home! There is also a roasted sweet potato shop as well, the “Brick Hut”. These fragrant potatoes are baked in a stone kiln made from materials sent from Italy & France. The kiln was created by a master craftsman and it brings out the unique flavors. French fries, sweet potatoes, and roast potatoes are on the menu. This shop is open until 19:00.
Lemon & Seafood Pasta
Ebri Shopping Mall is a 10 minute drive from Nopporo Forest Park. If you are hungry after seeing the sites of the Centennial Memorial Tower, or the Hokkaido historical Museum then there is a nice little Italian restaurant here, at Ebri Shopping Mall. Arles Il Mattone Italian Restaurant has a wooden kiln and makes its dishes from Ebetsu ingredients. There is lunch set meal (from 11:00 – 14:00) and a dinner set meal (17:00 – 20:30). The meals, come with a buffet style appetizer and cost around ¥1200. The all you can eat appetizer has a delicious selection of vegetables, olives, pastas, and meats. The main meals are made up of pastas, and wood fired pizzas. For dessert, there is also a large selection of all you can eat buffet style cakes and puddings.
